Where to download the demo
Use the Terrible Lizards Demo listing on Steam or the demo link on the full-game store page. The free PC demo launched on September 24, 2026. You do not need an installer from a fan site.
What unlocks after the story section?
The developer’s demo announcement describes two parts: finish the story-focused section to unlock the gameplay-focused section. Try both: they emphasize different aspects of the game. That second section is a demo unlock, not full-game New Game Plus.
Demo route versus full-game route
The publisher’s announcement describes portions of the opening two levels. That does not establish that every puzzle, checkpoint or code matches the released game. Use this site’s chapter walkthroughs for the full-game launch route and follow the objective shown in your demo when it differs.
Will the save carry over?
The material reviewed for this edition does not establish a demo-to-full-game save-transfer promise. Do not plan a completion run around carryover without a developer confirmation.
Before you troubleshoot
Check which product is running in your library. A demo using a 0.9.x build is separate from the full game’s 1.0.x update history. When reporting a problem, say explicitly that you are playing the demo and include its build number.
