Terrible Lizards FAQ — Playtime, Chapters & Collection Help

Practical answers before your first run and during collection cleanup.

How long is Terrible Lizards?

The developer Q&A estimates 6–10 hours for a first playthrough. That is an estimate rather than a completion guarantee; optional exploration and repeated traversal can change your time. A full collection run is not assigned a verified duration here.

How many chapters are there?

The Steam achievement requirements distinguish Levels 1–4. Our walkthrough has one route for each of those four chapters.

Is it single-player?

The official store lists single-player. For availability, use the linked stores on our Game Pass and platforms page; regional subscription access can change.

Is there a demo?

A free PC demo was announced for September 24. See the demo page for its documented scope. Do not assume a demo code or objective sequence applies unchanged to a full-game save.

Are there multiple endings?

The developer Q&A describes one ending in the released scope. The final-chapter route contains story spoilers. New Game Plus is covered separately in the replay guide.

Are all collection locations covered?

Not all are verified. We provide 16 amber landmarks, 24 recording routes and 90 note routes. Of the recordings and notes, 23 and 67 respectively have image-reviewed pickup landmarks; the other listed routes are labeled community reports. Seven of the reported 97 notes remain unmapped. A personal checklist mark does not change the evidence label.

Can I move my checklist to another device?

Use Export all checks on a collection page, move the downloaded JSON file yourself, then choose Import & merge checks on the other device. Import preserves existing checked items. The file contains collection IDs and an export time; it is read locally, with no account or server upload.

Why does a reported code fail?

Compare the clue in your own game with the code reference. Some published routes disagree. We label the conflict instead of treating one reported value as guaranteed for every save.
