Start with aerial control
The director describes movement built around predictable speed, rhythm and midair correction. You can adjust a jump before landing: pull back from an overshoot or correct sideways drift. Learning those corrections is more useful than treating every missed landing as a need for more speed.
Try a safe crossing before repeating the same sequence during a chase. Identify the next landing and the move that follows it.
Wallrunning: use the coated route
Chapter 3 introduces adhesive-goo walls. The illustrated chapter route describes running and jumping onto the coated wall, then jumping away toward the next ledge or support. Goo-coated freight equipment also becomes part of the crossing.
Use your platform’s displayed control prompt. This guide does not assume a universal keyboard or controller binding. For the machinery and timed crossings around these walls, follow the Chapter 3 freight route.
Bounce goo: choose the landing first
Elastic goo gives you height for otherwise unreachable platforms. Some surfaces become available only after a control is activated. Inspect the destination, activate the mechanism, then make the crossing. If the timed surface disappears, return to its control.
Adhesive walls and elastic bounce surfaces serve different purposes. Match the action to the surface and the current tutorial rather than assuming every patch of goo works identically.
Connect the movement chain
The developer names jumps, slides, wall runs, ledge grabs and swings as parts of the same movement flow. Practice the transition between moves: know where you intend to leave a wall or swing before committing to it.
The suggested practice sequence is simple: make one jump, correct the landing, add a ledge grab, then add the next jump. This is practice advice, not a required puzzle order.
Chase, hunt or broken objective?
Developer descriptions distinguish direct pursuits, collapsing-environment escapes and open spaces where you must complete an objective while a creature roams. Read the objective before assuming every encounter only requires running forward.
If a control fails after you finish its prerequisites, consult troubleshooting. For modified physics on a replay, see New Game Plus.
